The International Short Film Festival of Cyprus (ISFFC) is the official competition for short films in Cyprus, showcasing outstanding narrative, animated, documentary, and experimental films. As a partner of the European Film Academy since 2019, the ISFFC has become a prominent platform for both local and international filmmakers, celebrated by audiences and recognized in the Eastern Mediterranean region. The festival integrates creativity and innovation through site-specific events, thematic screenings, and masterclasses. Established in 2000 by the Ministry of Education and Culture and Rialto Theatre, it expanded in 2011 to include an international competition alongside its national awards.

Keti Papadema is an award-winning Cypriot filmmaker with studies in fine arts and documentary filmmaking. After completing her studies she worked for the Scottish company Intrepid Cinema on the multi-award-winning documentary The Islands and the Whales, and then moved to Cyprus where she has worked in local productions as well as wer own projects. Keti’s work explores the relationship between personal micro-stories and broader social phenomena through hybrid forms of cinema and has been showcased and recognized at international festivals and within the context of visual art exhibitions. Her latest film, Every Sunday, premiered at the Sarajevo International Film Festival and won, among other awards, the Best Documentary Award at the Drama International Short Film Festival. Keti is currently one of the two artistic directors of the International Short Film Festival of Cyprus, a member of the European Film Academy, and the Directors Guild of Cyprus.
