Tampere Film Festival is an international short film festival that gathers film lovers and industry professionals together annually in March. The five day festival takes place in Tampere, Finland, and it is one of the three largest short film festivals in Europe. The festival programme consists of competitions, themed programmes, as well as public and industry events.

The festival is internationally renowned for its outstanding International and National Competitions. In addition to the competitions, the curated themed programmes lie at the very heart of Tampere Film Festival. The festival treats the audience to film treasures that will not be seen anywhere else.

The art of cinema is the starting point of everything at Tampere Film Festival. The festival’s mission is to make the world a better place one short film at a time and showcase artistically first-rate content. The guiding principles in choosing programme content for the festival are the aesthetic, ethical, as well as the stylistic and narrative qualities of the films.
