Lithuanian Shorts is the leading non-governmental organization fostering short film culture at both national and international levels. Its primary goals are to actively represent Lithuanian short films and filmmakers, and to implement initiatives supporting the international circulation, exhibition, accessibility, education, and audience development of short films.

The agency collaborates with a wide range of partners, including organizations, institutions, film schools, the private sector, film festivals, and cinemas. The agency’s largest events include the Vilnius Short Film Festival, the Baltic short film industry event Baltic Pitching Forum, the Baltic mentorship program for audiovisual women “Baltic Women in Film Mentorship”, Lithuanian mentorship program for audiovisual women “Lithuanian Shorts Mentorship”, the short film script development program “Baltic Shorts Residency”, the film criticism training program Shorts Critics, the emerging producers training program UP!, and more. In 2024, Lithuanian Shorts, was awarded the special prize at the National Film Awards “Silver Crane” for its long-standing contribution to fostering the culture of short films on both national and international levels.

Lithuanian Shorts is a member of the global short film organization “Short Film Conference”, the European short film and video art distribution network “Short Circuit”, the Nordic-Baltic Shorts Network, which unites short film organizations of the Nordic and Baltic countries, the European Women’s Audiovisual Network (EWA), the European film festival networks “Young4Film” and “The END”, and the National Association of Creative and Cultural Industries (NKIKIA).

“Lithuanian Shorts” is also one of the founders of the Film Culture Association and “Women in Film & Television Lithuania” association.
