At the heart of the Kyiv International Short Film Festival lies a passionate dedication to promoting the art of short filmmaking, both in Ukraine and internationally. Our festival serves as a dynamic platform for the discovery of new cinematic forms and methods, continually pushing the boundaries of storytelling and visual expression. 

 

The festival’s goal is to showcase the most stirring, inventive and distinctive films while promoting Ukrainian cinema, encouraging communication and exchange of experiences between Ukrainian and international filmmakers and artists, and providing a safe and welcoming space for our audience. By bringing together filmmakers from diverse backgrounds and cultures, we create a spirited exchange of ideas, inspiring creativity and innovation within the industry.

 

The festival has both International and Ukrainian Competitions, as well as various non-competition and thematic programs, panels, workshops, and Q&A sessions.
