Training Programme
Istanbul Film Station is a next-generation film project hub aimed at connecting filmmakers and project owners in the preparation stage with producers and supporting institutions. Our goal is to create an environment where the projects we support can achieve success not only in Turkey but also globally. Istanbul Film Station welcomes both short film and documentary projects, striving to build bridges between filmmakers and mentors who have proven themselves at Europe’s most prestigious festivals, facilitating opportunities for film projects to participate in top-tier festivals.

Ekrem Ayhan Çakay
(Director)
He was born in Germany in 1994. He graduated from Middle East Technical University (METU) and Istanbul Technical University (ITU). He completed his directing training at Istanbul Film Academy and Stockholm Film School. He received production support from TRT, the Turkish Ministry of Culture and IKSV’s Bridge Meetings. In 2023, he was the only director selected from Turkey for Sarajevo Talents. He participated as a producer in one of the projects selected for the Sarajevo Film Festival’s Pack&Pitch program. He is the founder of Krema Film production company and the Istanbul Film Station platform.
