Lotje Kerckhaert

(Festival Director)

Lotje Kerckhaert was born in Lokeren, Flanders, and grew up in Hulst. After her VWO, she moved to Nijmegen and has never left. She studied Communication Science and Business Administration at Radboud University, laying a solid foundation in strategy, marketing and communication. After graduating, film became the field in which she specialized. In 2010 she founded production house Filmdok, in which she intertwined her strategy and marketing knowledge with her love for film. She guided social organizations in telling their stories and made several short fiction films. In this way she built a broad network in the film and culture world, which she expanded in recent years at Nachtzon Media. She is greatly looking forward to leading Go Short into a new phase and having short film embraced by an even wider and more inclusive audience.
